Tactical Emergency Casualty Care - 8hr
Service Description
This version of TECC is the one day, 8-hour classroom course specifically designed for Non-EMS first responders such as law enforcement officers, protective agents and citizens who wish to be more prepared. The class includes 8 hours of content, such as interactive lectures, skill stations, gear overview and patient simulations. Upon successful completion of the course, students receive a certificate of completion, a wallet card recognizing them as a TECC-LEO provider for 4 years, and 8 hours of CAPCE credit for qualified participants. NAEMT's TECC course is endorsed by the American College of Surgeons Committee on Trauma, is consistent with the current guidelines established by the Committee on TECC (Co-TECC), and meets all of the updated National Tactical Emergency Medical Support Competency Domains. All training materials are provided. No gear required from the students. Wear comfortable clothing, and be prepared to interact (physically) with other students during assessments and scenarios. $350 per student *Of this cost, $50 goes to NAEMT for their certification fees. Minimum three students.
