Service Description
Why is Stop the Bleed important? The STB course teaches the primary life-saving skills in order to stop massive bleeding which may arise from any number of day-to-day life events. The number one cause of preventable death after an injury is bleeding. With 3 quick actions, you can be trained and empowered to save a life. Who can take the ACS Stop the Bleed Course? Anyone! ACS Stop the Bleed courses are available to anyone interested in learning to control life-threatening bleeding. In a STOP THE BLEED course, you’ll learn techniques to help save a life before someone bleeds out: (1) How to use your hands to apply pressure to a wound; (2) How to pack a wound to control bleeding; (3) How to correctly apply a tourniquet. These three techniques will empower you to assist in an emergency and potentially save a life. There is no minimum age requirement, and the course takes approximately 90 minutes to complete.

Cancellation Policy
- All students must be at least 18 years old to participate; exceptions will be made for Stop The Bleed courses. - If the minimum number of students is both not reached and paid for the class, no later than one week before the class date, the class will be cancelled. If the class is cancelled due to Low Enrollment, refunds will be given to those who did pay. - Payment is due at registration. If you cancel your registration more than 30 days before the start of the class, you will be issued a 100% refund; minus any processing fees incurred by ShieldWall Protection & Preparation, LLC. If you cancel your registration within 30 days of the class, you will be given a 50% refund, or, credit towards a future class. - If the class is cancelled by ShieldWall Protection & Preparation, LLC, you will either be given a 100% refund or credit towards a future class.
